After earning an undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania and two master degrees (a Master in Public Policy and a Master in Business Administration) from the University of Texas at Austin, J.S. Kim started working within the Private Wealth Management division of one of the largest financial institutions in America. In 2005, J.S. left the corporate world behind to launch his own company, SmartKnowledgeU™, an investment research & education firm based upon his innovative Blue Ocean proprietary investment strategies that required five years of development to perfect.

J.S. Kim’s companies focus on wealth building strategies specifically designed to benefit from the coming dollar crisis. He recently authored the timely book, Confessions of a Wall Street Insider, A Zen approach to making a fortune from the coming global economic crisis, and actively maintains a blog, The Underground Investor, where he strives to bring the retail investor timely global investment news that rarely receives mainstream coverage - the “real” news behind the headlines. Away from the investment world, J.S. is an avid martial artist that has trained in the U.S. and Japan, and also under the tutelage of a U.S. Navy SEAL. Currently, JS splits his time between the U.S. and Asia.
